About Lower Levels Ledger
One game, one ledger, one rule: if a number is on the page, the source is on the page too.
What this site is
Lower Levels Ledger is an unofficial field guide to Probably Stolen, the cyberpunk shopkeeping simulator from Questing Goose Studio and tinyBuild. It covers one game rather than a library, because one game with nine playable starts and four difficulty settings has more to explain than a shelf of arcade titles.
The voice is deliberately dry. The game is about paperwork, margins and people who remember what you did last week, so the guide is organised like a ledger: entries, filed facts, dated reviews. That is a writing choice, not a claim of authority.
Every page is written by the editorial team. There is no named author with credentials to check, because there is no individual to credit; the site is a small editorial operation, and it says so rather than inventing a persona.
How a page gets written
- Read the official material first: the Steam store page, the launch press release, the developer’s community posts.
- Mark what is confirmed, what is reported by launch coverage, and what is inference. Those three are never mixed in one sentence.
- Write the decision, not the number. If the game does not publish a formula, the page explains the trade-off instead.
- Date the page and list the sources. When the game changes, the date changes with it.
What this site does not do
- It does not host, mirror or sell the game. The official build is on Steam.
- It does not publish review scores or aggregate ratings, and it does not add rating markup to structured data.
- It does not invent specialization names, faction names, item names, prices or endings.
- It does not claim to be official, and it does not present the browser remake as an official port.
Corrections
If a page is wrong, send the URL, the sentence and a public source that shows the correct fact. Corrections are applied to the page and the review date moves forward. Claims that cannot be verified are removed rather than softened.
The fastest way to check us is the sources page: every factual page on this site should trace back to one of those links, or to the Steam listing itself.
